Mycelia is a local-first desktop application. Your notes, conversations, and vault data stay on your device. We do not collect, store, or have access to your content.
When using the Pro tier, Mycelia sends conversation messages directly from your device to the AI provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenRouter, or your own custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint) using your own API key. These requests go directly to the provider — they do not pass through our servers. Please refer to the AI provider's privacy policy for how they handle data.
When using the Free tier with Ollama, all AI processing happens locally on your device. No data leaves your machine.
The mycelia.garden website uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous page view data (page URL, referrer, country). No cookies are used. No personal information is collected. This applies only to the website, not the desktop app.
Pro license purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information. Stripe collects your email address and payment details according to their privacy policy. Your email is used solely to deliver your license key and receipt.
Mycelia checks for updates by contacting mycelia.garden. This request includes only the current app version and your operating system. No personal data or vault content is transmitted.
